MRG is delighted to be working with one of Scotland’s leading energy consultancies who is going through a period of growth, thanks to some fantastic business wins and their customer service being second to none! They are looking for an experienced Relationship Manager to join their team in Cumbernauld.

This role will centre around a consultative led approach, where you will have the opportunity to support businesses on reducing their costs, streamlining processes, and improving operations, which will genuinely make a difference!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Portfolio Management: Oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, providing tailored utility solutions.
  • Energy and Water Contract Procurement: Secure both fixed and flexible energy and water contracts.
  • MOP / DA / DC Contract Management: Handle procurement and management of Meter Operator, Data Aggregator, and Data Collector contracts.
  • Invoice Validation & Billing Management: Validate invoices and resolve billing issues and queries for clients.
  • Comprehensive Administration: Manage all administrative tasks to ensure smooth client operations.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Prepare detailed consumption, CCA, SECR, Flex, and TCR analysis reports.
  • Reporting: Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as per the agreed work plan.
  • Continuous Improvement: Enhance data analysis methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, policies, and participate in relevant events and conferences.
  • Market Monitoring: Monitor the energy and water markets for insights and trends.
  • Hedging Strategies Implementation: Develop and implement power and gas hedging strategies.
  • Price Chart Analysis: Review and update moving average price charts.
  • Performance Reporting: Generate performance reports, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Client and Sales Support: Assist directors in client and sales meetings, presenting market overviews and trends.
  • System and Software Development: Identify and develop opportunities to improve system and software functionality.
  • Documentation Maintenance: Maintain and update operating procedures, templates, user guides, and troubleshooting manuals.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the UK Energy Industry, including power and gas operations.
  • Process Implementation: Experience in implementing industry processes and managing contractual obligations.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and build long-term relationships.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to digest and interpret complex information quickly.
  • Organisational Skills: Efficiently meet tight deadlines and manage queries using in-house systems.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain accuracy under pressure and handle high volume workflows.
  • Motivation and Engagement: Self-motivated with the ability to inspire others.
  • Educational Background: Degree-level education or equivalent industry experience.

Salary is DOE with excellent benefits and uncapped commission. This is a hybrid position, with 3 days required in the Cumbernauld office.
